Somewhere I do not remember, I heard the saying, “If you resent the ground you walk on it will never nourish you.”
And I thought, “if I am the only one to hear my feet hit the ground, it is enough.” I don’t need others to bear witness to the fruit of my labor; maybe I needn’t be a witness myself. There is no need for validation. My journey is for me; it is a here and now, a full embodiment of the moment. We have somehow come to believe it, our life, is for show.
I will plant seeds and only returning to water them with love. I may share my reaping without trade, as long as they too leave resentment at the door. It is not a boastful act or done in need of approval. Here is what I have learned, may it offer you guidance as well. Here is what I have been working to grow, would you like to take some for yourself? Through harvest I feed my community and in my seasons of drought they return the favor.
I know they say miracles don’t happen overnight; it is true, and the harvest sometimes comes when you least expect it.
I must love the ground I walk on for it to nourish me, and this growth cannot be rushed; it all happens in time- and my timing is divine.
